RMK: Overnight snow showers have produced 7-8 cm of fresh
snow. Total depth is now 29 cm. The current shower is
very slight. The temp fell very briefly to -5 deg around
0500z then rose to -1 by 0530z.

RMK: A cloudy morning. Showers turned to rain around 0930z
and died out around 1030z. Fog 1030z-1100z. Dry this afternoon
with broken cloud and sunny intervals. There's been a steady
thaw this afternoon with the temp reaching a high of +2.7.
There's still a long way to go, though, with 23 cm of snow
still on the ground. It's starting to freeze now as the
temperature falls. Main roads and bus routes around the
village are largely clear now. I haven't ventured further
afield. Minor roads are still badly affected by snow and slush
and some that haven't had a visit from the snow plough are
blocked by drifts. Photos of the drifts on the minor road
