and it didn't, overcast today (Wed 11th) After freezing fog and a minimum of -4C we have managed a high of 1.4C
The sunshine and inversion were lovely while they lasted and we certainly got out there and enjoyed.

31.07 hrs for the same period here. Went down to the SOL yesterday, left
here with full cloud cover but 10 miles south cloud cleared and it was
blue skies (and lingering snow patches in the Borders) all the way. Fog
patches and frost from late afternoon onwards made the banks of the Wear
quite atmospheric. As far as the game was concerned I travelled
hopefully but...what's new?
Cloudy today with temperatures rising slowly to present value of 4.7C
