Default The saddest sight in the world

In message ,
Lawrence Jenkins writes
Of course as we all are hurtling towards our dotage maybe if we start
to get consistent snowfall every winter and slip and hurt ourselves a
few times with our mobility severely hampered due to the snow/ice
conditions, then the love affair with snow will be sorely tested.

I remember one day in - I think - January 2010 when I managed to slip
over twice in one day on snow that had been compressed into ice by cars
driving over it. (Once on the pavement while crossing someone's drive
and once when crossing the road.) Luckily I suffered nothing worse than
bruising. And it still hasn't cured me of my love of snow!
