A warm sector westerly wind is very different to a warm sector SW in Penzance. Under these conditions we benefit from the descent off the moors.
As a result good sunny spells, with the surrounding hill tops in the mist. As is often the case in these conditions the air is distinctly damp at times. There was a lovely 'mist bow' over the sea when I was at Mousehole earlier. The sea was a turquoise blue, very different to the typical cold steely blue of a northerly.
All in all the best day for a while. Maximum was 12.8C, highest max since 10th January. The mistiness is coming back down now, though still thin enough vertically for the blue to show through.
A very different day to yesterday, which was really rather wild
