I always thought that 1988 was the mildest on record, with 1998 a VERY
close second.

Interestingly, if Metcheck's Martin Chuter's unofficial predictions are
correct over on TWO, then, paradoxically, the winter of 2007 into
2008(!) could actually do very well out of this coming solar minima.:-)
