8/8 Cloud in Dawlish, clearing around 11.00 to leave a sunny afternoon. Rats. Hoping the forecast is wrong!

Good news: sky cleared for a while to show the start.

Bad news: couldn't find eclipse glasses and looked directly....suffering!

Lucky. Good views through gaps in the stratus all through the eclipse. Getting lighter. Birds singing again.
