This mornings partial eclipse from mid-Devon looked like a no-show, but the stratus was more of a blessing than a curse, because it worked like natures own built-in filter, and enabled me to get a few shots with my 200 mm lens. The visible satellite also picked up the event as the moon's shadow raced northeastward across the northwest of the image and across the Faroes. It may have been a little less than 90% of totality but there was noticeable 'twilight' feel about it as the stratus dispersed and left behind a few patches of altocumulus.
