Default A milder easterly ?

To clarify, the second sentence was intended to refer to milder air
arriving after a couple of days of cold. The ECMWF runs available don't
go out far enough to tell what will happen after that (even the milder
air arriving is something of an extrapolation). The latest GFS run seems
to generate a low in the region of Iceland about 10 days out and then
brings it south-east, becoming very slow moving near south-east England
and maintaining cold air across the country.
