According to the commentator they had to clear one metre of snow off the
pitch at Nurmancia before the game tonight against Real Madrid. The
temperature was just above freezing which caused Figo and one or two others
to wear not a vest under their shirts but a polo neck jumper! Beckham wore
gloves but the hardier Owen from our north didn't bother with any of that
softie stuff.
