I wouldn't normally stoop to this level but I have to report that I
just sat outside reading the newspaper in warm sunshine. No top coat,
just a single pullover. If this were March, I would be describing it as
"the first day of spring", but it is after all, still January.

.... make the most of it Jack: although I'm not sure about the 'easterly'
that everyone keeps on about, the 'north or northwesterly' being flagged
for the end of the week looks pretty good and will 'correct' the
temperatures quite well!
I keep thinking I'm going to have to dig out the mower - but am putting
it off, though not for too much longer otherwise I won't be able to get
onto it.
