This wonderful spring continues - it's hard to believe we're going back to more typical fare on Saturday. Yesterday we had 821 minutes of sunshine, hardly any wind, and a maximum of 20.2C at 4 pm. Now admittedly that's just my Davis II weather station, but my mate just down the road recorded 19.8C in his standard Stevenson set-up, so it's not far off.
I note though that East Scotland doesn't figure in Colin's list of high temperatures yesterday (and often doesn't). The main station here is Leuchars, which is on a promontory sticking out into the North Sea. Temperatures are often several degrees warmer inland - where there are no stations. Dundee might be the forgotten Riviera of the north.
