RMK: Spits of rain now and again before 0800z. Dry since then. A raw
wind.
09-09z: Tx 11.0 (1405z) Tn 2.2 (0225z) RR trace

RMK: Cloudy all day. Spits of rain on and off through the morning.
Continuous rain since about 1200z, initially slight but mostly moderate
since 1345z. Very different from the forecast for the Peak District
(still
the current one) which predicted a dry day "with rain expected to affect
some places during the evening". Max temp 7.6 and feeling raw all day
in the ENE breeze.
Indeed, a very poor forecast.
An initial 'pulse' of rain was predicted to move into North Wales/Cheshire
earl;y on, then fizzle leaving most areas of NW England having a reasonably
sunny morning but clouding over later with rain by evening.
Instead it was cloudy with a little brightness in the morning, then light/
moderate rain in the afternoon.
Max temp 9.1°C, now 6.7°C with light rain.
