The 582 dm air was over most of Spain and Portugal when I visited at the
end of August and early September last year.

Away from the coast the temperatures were between 35C and 40C in the
places I visited such as Beja, Evora and Abrantes.

It was toasty and I remember the 2nd of September being a particularly
hot day.

It was refreshingly cooler back in Lisbon with the maximum temperature
there around 25C - 28C.
