What was the UV level like today?
The UV reached a maximum of 8.3 here at 12:46 under a really hazy sky.
On St Martin's the UV reached an extreme 10.7.
Just beat me to it Nick!
I expected it to be high today, after all it's still humid, a warm sector
type setup, and plenty of 'white' low cloud, but I've never seen 10.7 before
on Scilly. I know it's near the longest day, and conditions were perfect for
high UV but . . Does anyone know if there's a ozone hole overhead?
On Spotlight yesterday I was told how much fresher today would feel.
It has been a warm and humid day, only tempered by a sea
breeze that blew in from 11:45 onwards.
This did not stop the DPs rising to peak at 17.2C at 13:30.
Yes, it's certainly been humid. The recent high humidity and sunshine has
worked wonders for the SST.
http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=62107 I was involved with
the Mazey Day celebrations in Pz today, am tied up tomorrow (not in a sexual
way) but Monday I'm out at Sennen for a bodyboarding session. 4-6' and light
offshore wind forecast - couldn't be better (hopefully). A good time is
guaranteed for all - as Sgt Pepper would say.
If I sound light hearted it's probably down to today's celebrations.

****ed? :-)
Yes not fresh at all today. Quite a lot of cloud but can still my face
getting tanned to something even more brown now.
