Default Famous last words...

In mid-Devon we seem to have been very lucky and escaped much of the heavy rain today that has affected southern coastal counties, here in Bradninch we have only had 2.0mm.

Eastbourne must be pretty miserable as I estimate that there has been 41mm of rain there since midnight. Much of the heavy rain that moved up from the SE seems to be less intense as it tracks into East Anglia, although Cornwall is still getting some 16mm/hr pixels.

Out of interest Haytor Vale is currently number 3 in the wettest places list today with 39.9mm till 1445 UTC at a guess.

I'm sure our turn will come later today and overnight.
