I found, that despite my best efforts, Windows 10 downloaded and
installed itself and I couldn't stop it without it constantly reminding
me to do it! However, if you don't want to keep it there's an option to
return to your previous OS within thirty days. There were few problems
with already installed software.

My own general view is if you're happy with your current OS stick with it, why take a chance. Upgrading (as opposed to a clean install) always carries some risk in my experience. However, at least the revert option is there if things go wrong, so the easy option might be to go with the flow & revert if the flow gets rocky!
