Clearly been some very difficult situations to predict or get the timing
right. Never seen so many comments from different quarters saying how
poor their regional forecast has been this past week.
Same again here. Whilst watching the forecast on the BBC yesterday
evening we all commented how pleasant a day it looked for the
grandchildren's visit to the Olympic Park, sunny and 21C.
I'm not in London myself but is certainly very grey and cloudy here, no
sun at all and only 18C.

A cloudy start in St Albans but now sunny and just over 20C with almost
no wind, very pleasant. As a consequence of the lack of wind cloud
takes some time to move on so you can be unlucky in these conditions.

The reverse in Cranleigh, Surrey. Sunny early on, but by noon it was
predominantly cloudy, and the cloud seems to have become increasingly
thick through the afternoon.
