Oh, the beach in the background of the stage webcam is not Porthcurno,

but Pedn Vounder - a nudist beach. Back in the 70's it was well worth a
visit for the stunning scenery. Now the only nudes tend to be gays with
piercings - not quite my taste.

I once rescued an Australian lady from that beach who had got stuck in a
rip and was panicking as the rip was taking her very quickly out to sea.
That was about 10 years ago - I'm not gay and not pierced.....

Yes, everything has suddenly gone very quiet around here. The roads are
once more fairly empty and you can park near the beach/anywhere again.

A bit more cloudier here than recently but still bright with sunny
intervals occasionally. Feeling a lot cooler after the warmth of the
last few days - maximum of 16.6C so far today.

The sea is flat, flat, flat. Not even a ripple and absolutely gin clear
because of it. The beach has very fine sand and it is easily kept in
suspension by the bigger waves and sometimes takes a couple of days to
clear completely. The sea has been calm for several days now, hence the
very clear conditions.
