Default A tale of two cities...

Quite a stark difference between the two capital cities of London and Paris during this summer as the hourly thermograph show. Paris was noticeably warmer, sunnier and drier than London although the two capitals are only 211 miles apart. At a quick glance, Paris received more than 50% more sunshine than London with around 800 hours.

Paris received only about half the rainfall that London did, and June in Paris as like the rest of France was almost completely dry for much of the month.

I suppose that we could blame this on the jet stream, which felt for much of the summer that it was aligned 240 - 060° along the English channel.
