Default Equinoctial Gale

Where is it?

20 knots gusting 26 here from SSW.

No gale warnings in any sea areas.

The tropical N Atlantic can't even muster a decent hurricane.

With suppressed N Atlantic sea temperatures all we have to look forward to is a very confused hemispheric circulation as we move into winter.

A thing of myths - autumn equinoctial gales. My 25 year record shows mid September to be a quiet period. In fact I've recorded more gales in June than September! All very different by late October.

A lot of people will be pleased to see the charts for a weeks time, given we've got the highest tide of the decade coming up.

A favourite spot of mine. http://www.cornwallcam.co.uk/evenearlier.htm

I must try and visit Wembury sometime.
