This is all very noble, Alastair, but will there really be any positive outcomes from the march, aside from the "We need to do something about the pollution!!"

With the thoroughly depressing stories coming out tonight about the possible power shortfalls this winter - helpfully plugged by taxpayer-funded polluting diesel generators - surely peoples' energies should be being focused elsewhere - at the ballot box?

Scott,
We won't be able to go to the ballot box for another four and a half years. The Paris conference is in four weeks time. We need to make it clear to the government that they must do everything possible to make Paris a success. We owe it to our grandchildren.
