This is all very noble, Alastair, but will there really be any positive
outcomes from the march, aside from the "We need to do something about the
pollution!!"
With the thoroughly depressing stories coming out tonight about the
possible power shortfalls this winter - helpfully plugged by
taxpayer-funded polluting diesel generators - surely peoples' energies
should be being focused elsewhere - at the ballot box?
Yes indeed. How much CO2 do fighter planes emit? Given the millions of
pounds spent on sorties in Iraq and Syria to no real advantage, one wonders
at the effectiveness of such a march.
