Looking forward immensely to next weekend with snow showers and frosts,
even better when the forecast starts emphasising how much of a shock it
will be. The real shock though is how ridiculously mild it has been so
far this month.

That reminds me, I must get the 'house plants' back inside the
conservatory for the winter! The yuccas and spider plants have been
thriving outside in the humid, mild conditions.

It will be a shock to the system when the colder weather arrives; it was
quite a shock last Friday as that wind had a keen edge to it.

Unlike you Will, I quite like this weather and today was a lovely dry
day with some sunshine (albeit brief intervals) and a temperature
between 14C and 15C. A few butterflies and other insects still flying
around. The oak trees are doing their usual of keeping their leaves
until the very last minute. Not looking forward to any cold weather
(especially snow - you don't mean here do you Will?), though the extra
sunshine will be some recompense.
