Many thanks EP, I'm now reading uk.comp.sys.mac ( still on Turnpike too
but I must finally say goodbye to WIndows) I've read about Unison which
seems good but no longer supported, I think.

Thanks too for the Mac welcome, I decided to go down the Mac route after
using an iPhone, which I really like. There's a slight learning curve
but so far I've no regrets about changing OS whatsoever.
