Mild all the way. Just like last year with Scandinavia well above
freezing. I wonder if it will be the third year in a row with virtually
no lying snow here.

As Dave says, it's deja vu all over again. Just as in 2014 and 2013, Europe has stayed exceptionally mild for weeks now.

I will have to dig out the figures when I have got time, but I have a feeling that in the past when December has been hyper mild (top 10% of CET) the winter as a whole has been mild.

The S.E rarely gets cold spells when Europe isn't cold. Although that is
true everywhere just being those few hundred miles south and low lying
makes all the difference.
