Had much less than that Graham, just a few hours here. Vile again
here today too.

Will 3 months of this and we will all be totally depressed. Don't get
me wrong the warmth's ok, it's just the ****e it brings with it!

Don't worry it won't last 3 months. It's all down to El Nino apparently
and you can read it all here

Fortunately this vile SW'ly mild spell has done little damage to winter
as I normally reckon on winter starting around 21st lasting into March.
Other years have had similar, but not quite this bad.

5 days now with no sun recorded here...

If only we had this situation in July!
Wasted in late autumn.

Unusually many of us are stuck in the same situation. Not everyone, but
I'm sure the majority like it cold in winter more because of the
brightness it usually brings, even if only off of reflected light from
the snow on the ground, rather than the cold itself. Yes, snow can
cause problems, but let's face it, it is beautiful isn't it. Plus these
days there is the bonus of seeing a rare weather phenomenon !
