The January average here over the last 20 years has been 79.1 mm. The total this month up to 6 pm is 179.4, so that's 227%.

At least I'm stuck at home. I wouldn't like to be marooned the other side of the floods. I am however down to my last three bottles of red wine so much as I like severe weather I'm glad that it seems to have stopped raining for now.

The Met Office has an amber alert for rain here tomorrow, but no rain is forecast according to the BBC.

It's the lack of sunshine that really gets me. None since the 29th of December, and just 1511 minutes in the whole of last month.
