Default Yesterday morning's sunrise

They were taken through my office window and it seems that the auto-focus didn't
do as well as it might have done. Nevertheless, they do show the colours very
well. It was the best that I have seen for quite some time.

You would have better photos Norman, if you had your window open while
taking the photographs. The auto focus of your camera is focussing on
your window, and so it’s not at the hyperfocal distance. Thus, objects
near to your camera are quite sharp, and distance objects like the sky
are blurry. If you had your camera at the hyperfocal distance, the sky
would be acceptably sharp for human eyes.
