RMK: Continuous rain all day, sometimes slight, sometimes
moderate, sometimes heavy. 12mm since 0900z. There's
clearly a lot of instability. Around 1400z there was a short
burst of hail then between 1500 and 1515 a spell of heavy rain
dragged the temperature below 4 deg and there were about
10 minutes of heavy sleet. Strongest gust today is 30 knots.
Max temp 5.7
Vile winter weather today. Frequent heavy showers although really
'merging into longer periods of rain' as they say.
Only fleeting glimpses of the sun so not even any attractive 'big sky'
cloudscapes to admire. Windy for sure but not really windy enough to be
interesting but easily enough to be highly unpleasant to be out in.
Ah, well at least this time next week I will be in Saudi Arabia again....
