Default WR Snow showers and Mothers Day

My lad took his Mum out today, which was very nice of him indeed. This involved me driving to Scarborough to pick him up so he could do the taking out.

Anyway, he took her (in my car, with me driving) to Fountains Abbey, which is a venue we always seemed to bypass somehow. And very nice it was too, with very pleasant warm sun in between the cool cloudy bits and very infrequent snow flurries. (And the Dales and North Pennines looked splendid under a blanket of snow).

My lad than decided that his Mum was getting too cold so he took her back to Scarborough (or I did) and we had a quick view of the local scenery, Oliver's Mount and Holbeck Hall (that was).

Excellent views of parts of South Bay that were not obscured by the snow showers sweeping in off the sea and sporadic views of the North York Moors with a fresh dusting from aforementioned showers.

After a bite to eat, we returned him home and he kindly let me drive his Mum home on his behalf.

But we love him dearly.

Family matter, David. Glad to hear you and your lad made it a good day for his mom.
