Bah! As soon as I read your e-mail I shot out, leapt into the
car and headed for my favourite aurora-viewing hilltop. Stopped
in the layby, wriggled into my ski-suit because the temperature
was below freezing, and was about to get out of the car when I
realised that there was complete cloud cover and it was snowing
heavily :-((

So I turned round and came home, hoping that the snow wouldn't
turn to freezing rain as I headed back down the hill to the main
road.

Nevertheless, thank you for the notification, which was very
kind of you.

Just had a look out of the window, but like Anne, we are completely
overcast.

But shock! The far side of the estate is in complete darkness, so guess
there's yet another power cut up here. Nothing unusual in that. But what
is unusual is the sight of snow flakes drifting down in the light of the
street lamps outside.. Yuk!!!
