There's a piece about it in this morning's Telegraph, with a photo taken
an Bamburgh in Northumberland. According to the article it was visible
as far south as the Midlands.


Never seen an aurora, still patiently seeking those nacreous clouds.
Despite being very close to the urban-rural boundary this is a very well
lit spot at night. Even the nearby ski-slope on the Pentlands is lit up
like a christmas tree for much of the evening.

But.. we did have snow cover at 0900 today.
