I've been watching that for a while, some of west Cornwall's strongest winds come as a NW funnels around Land's End following this sort of feature.

MetO currently forecasting gusts 60mph in sheltered Penzance, with the wind offshore. If that's the case I wouldn't want to be on the north coast, except for extreme windsurfing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dh4ucQxtKqM
