Default Unusually quick clearances for March

Morning all, today is the third day in a row that the mist and low
cloud has broken to leave a mostly sunny sky. In past years this
synoptic set up would have brought mostly overcast days with little
diurnal temperature difference - indeed you used to have to wait until
May for any chance of the sun 'burning back' the low cloud. There's
obviously a cold, drying wind so perhaps this is having an influence?
I'm not complaining it's actually quite nice in the sun if you can
find shelter.

If the forecast is correct the low cloud won't clear from Tuesday onwards
if you live in the SE and East of the country.
