Great stuff Nick, what caught my eye though was the lack of leaf on the
foreground trees. Don't know what they are ,but here in suburban Essex
some of the horse chestnuts have small candles forming ,and even the
oaks are quite green.
The trees are common oak (not sessile which are rare/non-existent here).
I've just looked at the trees that are in the video and they are coming
into leaf now but these ones always seem a bit late. Individually, oaks
are highly variable in when they do come into and lose their leaves.
There are a few oaks in the village that are nearly in full leaf. The
handful of horse chestnuts that are around here are now all in full leaf
and the beech tree leaves are just coming out too as are the chestnuts.
Everything is greening up quickly now, I suspect that in two weeks time
the trees will have taken on their full-leaf summer look.
