I remember the winter of 1981/82 which was very bad from the POV of
peoples extremities. Near to me at Newport (Salop) was the coldest
winter night at -27c for the land of the angles.
It was actually -26.1, Joe, on 10/01/1982. Shawbury recorded -25.2
on 13/12/1981, but "only" got down to -24 in Jan
1982.
Hey Freddie fast fingers, you’ve posted the same message in triplicate.
I remember Jan 82, as the time I went to college on my push bike.
Whilst I was cycling, I was shivering for a time, then I stopped
shivering, and I was confused because I was thinking I maybe warm, yet I
wasn’t sweating.
I felt a bit dizzy outside the college chaining my bike to some
railings. The S**t it the fan as soon as I went into the college. The
heat overcame me and I fainted, hitting the back of my head on a
radiator. The college nurse of ebony was called, and gave me a chair to
sit on, and a tincture of Camellia sinensis with plenty of milk and
sugar. She stayed with me until I was well enough to go to my lectures
on business monies. I said to the nurse of ebony, “God bless you”, my
jerry was well out of line. Thomas, Thomas where is that cat!
