That did cross my mind Freddie as I wrote the post, there is however an important fundamental difference. The left post war has attacked everything that it deems to have come from capitalism with the pharmaceutical industry really taking some flak. You will note there's many conspiracy dramas about
Drugs industry
Oil Industry
Neil Young's latest clap trap Monsanto and crop type monopoly
GM Foods
Frakking industry
and many more with a constant mantra of a disbelief in what the scientist are telling us coming from that left platform. However the left have thrown its full weight behind AGW because it allows them to use it as a weapon against what it sees as western man made evil capitalism. So nearly very other science is not to be trusted as its represents capitalism but AGW science and its claims are to be trusted as if it was demonstrably provable like gravity-which it is not.
So there is a difference. You know I remember that slob Michael Moore (lies) in one of his films Bowling for Columbine showing the missile manufacturer Lockheed-Martin in the words of Moore, surreptitiously moving their nuclear missiles at night when the local townsfolk were innocently asleep and couldn't see them.
Well the truth was and to quote from Lockheed-Martins and this website

It was also said the reason for transporting the missiles at night was to avoid local traffic hold ups during the day.
Now Michael Moore and his lefty ilk are nothing but liars and twisters of the truth in order to back an ideology . Would you trust someone like hiom on AGW climate policy?
Still a conspiracy theory though - lefties or otherwise.
