I do wonder how much we'll get down here over the next few days, it mainly appears home grown convection which we tend to miss out on. We're normally fairly sunny under slack low pressure at this time of year. There may be a few proper fronts the following week, but that's a long way off.
I have a feeling that the coast here will see little in the way of
rainfall next week. Experience has shown that the forecast area of slack
low pressure in the summer results in a clear, sunny start with cloud
developing during the morning and then a sea breeze sparking up mid/late
morning suppressing convection.
Here that means looking south to cloudless skies and unbroken sunshine
(high(ish) UV and crystal clear visibility) whilst just a mile or two
inland you can here thunder rumbling away. We'll see!
