Never let the dew settle on them.

In fact the success of democratic government as well as the prosperity of the individual may be said to depend upon the ability of the people to distinguish between real science and fake, between the genuine expert and the pretender.

Edwin E. Slosson, founding editor: Science Service.

I wonder what he would have had to say about the Michael mannky hokey trick.

I wonder if it has something to do with facts?
They don't like them up them you know!

Is it unverifiable that Michael Mann's hockey stick trick is an outright lie?
Someone will be telling me next that Nobel prizes are like British nighthoods, that the swedes can ask for them back.

The facts are rather compelling if you are not a subscriber to political misadventure. All you need do is compile the data that is readily available from historical sources. In fact why don't we look and see if the Winkipee has a page on it:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Mi...MKvXgAar7rigCQ

You don't even have to take the words of an encyclopaedia and rather than have to go to a truthseeker's site, why not get it from the liar himself:

"In their brief, the CEI Defendants suggest that the University of East Anglia's investigation actually found that the hockey stick graph was "misleading" because it did not identify that certain data was "truncated" and that other proxy and instrumental temperature data had been spliced together... This allegation is yet another example of Defendants' attempts to obfuscate the evidence in this case. The "misleading" comment made in this report had absolutely nothing to do with Dr. Mann, or with any graph prepared by him. Rather, the report's comment was directed at an overly simplified and artistic depiction of the hockey stick that was reproduced on the frontispiece of the World Meteorological Organization's Statement on the Status of the Global Climate in 1999.41 Dr. Mann did not create this depiction, and the attempt to suggest that this report suggested an effort by Dr. Mann to mislead is disingenuous."

So we have all been barking up the wrong stick; it was some other naughty boy -that ran away....
