Record temperatures in the USA this weekend?

I have to laugh at the image of the zoo assistant hosing down an Indian elephant as these creatures never ever experience these heat conditions in their natural habitat.
I would imagine that /these/ heat conditions would be extremely rare in
their natural habitat.
I wonder how !!**Asian**!! elephants would deal with unexpected hot
arid conditions should they find themselves in such. Hey! Maybe there is
a clue in that picture. I hear that !!**Asian**!! elephants shower
at least once a day in their natural habitat, even during normal
climatic conditions which are generally much cooler and humid.
Are these people morons or liars.
Just you, Larry. You've got both those bases covered.

Yes you are spot-on Alan we know that the USA is far hotter than India. Oh how wrong can I be? I mean that blizzard of 1829 that buried Sabu in Calcutta. People just don't realise ho cold India can be in its winter.
