Notice the Cu just inland, as usual.
Warm sector air again today Graham?
I recorded a UV of 9.5 today again. The banks of sea fog and cirrus
cloud might have tempered the heat of the sun but it didn't stop the UV
from being extreme.

Certainly seems that way, some wonderfully eerie banks of fog around the Mount this morning. A few large spots of rain on a couple of occasions, but not amounting to anything. UV 10.6 on Scilly. I took the precaution of spraying my rather bald head with waterproof sunblock before going the sea yesterday.
Something of a clearance just to the west this afternoon, it can be seen here
http://www.sennen-cove.com/index.htm , never made it ashore.
Lovely clean swell the last couple of days seems to have been constructive, and has brought back some more of the sand that was removed in vast quantities during the huge sea in February.
http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/StormImogen2016.pdf was the only really big sea since 2014 - but it was really quite something.
Looks like good surf for a while, and hopefully Penzance will now be to the west of that irritating front.
