travelling, and it's west-north-west (off the warm atlantic)

maybe they will more to the north later in the day, when any chance for
showers has gone

I can hardly contain my excitement !!
I tell you it is perishing on Dartmoor ATM.
Go walking above 400m and that NW-N wind is severe gale at least with
temperatures below 3 deg C.
Some of the most dangerous conditions I have seen this winter.
OK on low ground it is different as you say, but for upland Devon winter has
come back with a vengeance.
