My brother-in-law had his left knee done, went fine but now he needs his right knee doing. Too much rugby when he was younger.
Was yours housemaid's knee? i.e too much kneeling?
Glad to hear the NHS got round to helping you Dave.
Take the exercises gently and you'll be fine.
Get out and take some of that bracing Essex air.

My wife would say I'd make a very bad House Maid Len! No - early
football injuries and playing all types of sport till I was sixty. Not
good for joints but at least my BP is 120/70 !
NHS was great - had to smile ironically when I had a white British
surgeon from Wolverhampton ! But this was followed by brilliant
multinational multi-ethnic nurses, doctors and technicians all who spoke
perfect English although there was one rather attractive Irish nurse
whose accent I struggled with slightly :-). We will be finished without
them.

If you are that concerned that your health team in the UK should have proportional representation from all around the world why not get your next OP undertaken in say Ghana.
I used to work for a trendy multi racial lefty organisation. I remember telling my Mum about one of their 'Do's' I'd just gone to.
"What was it like?"
"It was nice mum they had a great ethnic mix"
" Aww that's nice, but I can't eat that stuff it gives me indigestion."
