My brother-in-law had his left knee done, went fine but now he needs his right knee doing. Too much rugby when he was younger.
Was yours housemaid's knee? i.e too much kneeling?
Glad to hear the NHS got round to helping you Dave.
Take the exercises gently and you'll be fine.
Get out and take some of that bracing Essex air.

My wife would say I'd make a very bad House Maid Len! No - early
football injuries and playing all types of sport till I was sixty. Not
good for joints but at least my BP is 120/70 !
NHS was great - had to smile ironically when I had a white British
surgeon from Wolverhampton ! But this was followed by brilliant
multinational multi-ethnic nurses, doctors and technicians all who spoke
perfect English although there was one rather attractive Irish nurse
whose accent I struggled with slightly :-). We will be finished without
them.

You sound like the sort of person who watches reruns of the Notting Hill Carnival trying to dance to every reggae number in your bid to show the world just how tolerant and anti racist you are. That more tan likely caused your knee problem. By the way Dave was it you that once lived in Brockley?
