Tide's on the bank now, so no good for bodyboarders until evening when it
drops a bit.

What I like about Cornwall, is the way people use the beaches when it rains.
It rather demonstrates how, certainly on the north coast, people come for
the watersports, not lying down & getting burnt. I was in Torquay for a
couple of days last year, as soon is it turned dull the beach was deserted.
Thie difference is stark.

OTOH I come to Cornwall to walk. Rain, wind, sun makes no difference, it's
all good. I hate going into water, unless I am in a dinghy or bigger boat!
Lying on a beach all day would my idea of total boredom, although some
decent scenery makes a bit of a difference :-)
