Default Iridescent cloud sighting about 1900 29/8

Did anyone else see iridescent clouds last night at around sunset?

They were fairly obvious here in North Yorkshire although restricted to
a handful of wind sculpted clouds at a fairly high level that were
forming and rearranging as I watched. Colours were very strong in some
but hard to photograph so my images of them are not so good.

I only had a phone to hand and its not the ideal tool.

A range of spectral colours on the edges with some fainter green magenta
banding and the odd isolated thin cloud in a single colour. Colour
saturation quite strong but camera sees only brightness.

They didn't persist at all after sunset so they probably were not high
enough to be nacreous. The shapes were quite similar though so I suppose
the mechanism of their formation was too.

I couldn't tell if they were above or below jet cruise height as a con
trail annoyingly just missed intersecting with one. There was a lower
layer of faster moving stratus and they were well above that.
