Yesterday was the 1st day to fail to reach 15C (peaking at just 14.7C) since 19th May (14.1C). A distinctly chilly wind.
Today a complete contrast. With a very gentle breeze off the Bay, where the SSTs still around 16C, the prolonged morning sunshine into SE facing Penzance pushed the temperature up to 17.8C by 13:30. A bit more like it, it feels vastly different.

Yesterday was a bit of a shock to the system Graham. Cool and showery
for most of the day and then a very chilly night for early October.

Reached a maximum of 16.1°C yesterday though that was in the sunnier
interludes, rather cooler in the showers giving a total of 4.6 mm.

And what a contrast today was; unbroken sunshine all day with a crystal
clear sky. And it was strong sunshine too despite the low(ish) elevation.

A maximum of 18.1°C today and 10.9 hours of sunshine. A rare (for the
time of year) sea breeze set in around midday changing the wind
direction quite abruptly from a northerly to a southerly.

UV levels dropping like a stone, now struggling to make it to 4.0.
Suntan's just about holding on....
