0630z CALM 30km 7Sc030 -01.9/-02.6 1011
RMK: A crisp morning. I see that there's been a dusting of
snow at the Cat & Fiddle overnight.

0900z CALM 30+km 7Sc030 +00.3/-00.3 1011
RMK: Cloud edge is visible far to the SE with blue sky beyond.
09-09z: Tx 6.0 (1230z) Tn -2.2 (0650z) RR 0.5
15-09z: Tg -4.3 00-24z: Sun 1.1

1600z CALM 50+km 5Ac100 8As170 03.1/01.4 1006
RMK: Low cloud dispersed through the morning but middle
cloud has been slowly thickening and lowering. Late this
afternoon, from higher spots, the cloud edge was still
clearly visible to ESE. The satellite imagery shows that
the cloud edge must have been 90-100 miles away.
Max temp 3.7 but now steadily falling. I'll be watching
developments later this evening with interest.

Move the decimal point one place to the right and you will get the max temp
here today... I too will be reading the reports with interest albeit from
afar. However the chances of snow here tonight are about as high as me
finding an ice cold beer in the hotel mini bar

Col

I know how you feel, Col! Which hotel are you staying at? I was at the Albilad.
It was OK. Small rooms but good food and fast wi-fi internet access. I'm likely
to have another trip before Christmas.
