Coldest day here since early November, 2.5c after a min of -6.0 here on the hill. -10c widely in the valleys. Although days were warm in December there was enough frost to ensure that ponds were iced over for most of the month.
Has been turning cooler by day since Christmas and even the large lakes eg Lake Viam near us, are now fully frozen over, thick ice as well.
Days have been sunny, but cloud this evening and light snow since 1900 has given a dusting here now. Not much expected, but 2/3cm possible if the right shower takes the right track.

Well a magnificent total of 1cm by morning, though very pretty it was.
Very cold day, max 0.5c with a significant breeze, which has intensified this evening and at -2.5c, it's bitter, min of -5c forecast. Local forecasts talking about windchill of -18c.
Interesting day out with the camera and followed part of the Vezere river this afternoon. Significant ice around the edges and rocks and this is a fast moving river on quite a gradient. I've seen photos of it completely frozen solid, that's when you know it's cold here. Incidentally, on 28th December, sunny all day and almost 15c.
Nothing here at 450 metres, south Correze, but very cold at night.
