Calling Aberfeldy weather
Cheers chaps! I have to say i'm desperate to get up to Pubil, I haven't
been there since December, when there wasn't a hint of snow. When
Scotland had a snowfall in January, I was sweating in Bombay, so I feel
i've missed this winter.
The hill road from Glen Lochay to Glen Lyon is always tempting as it
cuts the journey, but it can go bad rather quickly. And as it's a Yaris
I'm driving and not a Landie I feel that giving it a miss is probably
the best bet. It's to be cold on Friday night, and if there is any snow
left up there at all it will be treacherous. Same for the Ben Lawers
road. It's a better road, but it's not gritted and it goes up over
550m. I think to play it safe I'll head down Loch Tay to Fearnan and
cut over to Glen Lyon.
I've been receiving weather forecasts from my friend who gets them in
SEPA, and it's looking good. Cold at the very least, but I must confess
I'll be watching like a hawk for snow.
I still have a daydream of having to phone work on Monday to tell them
I am stuck....
